TAINTED FATE started out as Fallen Angel in the late 1980s, with the passing of former lead vocalist Devin Powers, they soon converted to a Christian based metal band named True Faith. Spokesperson for the band said that they were running out of material and writing became slowed, and they made a decision to go back to playing secular music, however, they did not revert back to the music they started with (satanic). Tami Lake, the bands manager said, "Those days are gone, even the bands that were satanic are gone as well, I guess it was just a phase that metal was going through."
